Title: Push for 1.7.10 Release...
Post by: Linuxlover on December 18, 2014, 05:08:24 am
This topic is for the purpose of supporting WThieves development of his LaTL Beta Mod.
The last version supported is 1.7.2. Right now, MC version is 1.8.1.
I'm not putting pressure to the developer, but it has been a while since he last updated his mod.
P.S. I'm a big fan of your mod. Hehe.  ;)

Good to hear.
Don't worry, the mods will be updated, might even be before the new year!
But to tell you the truth, there's a reason these mods have not had an update in a while...

That reason is I'm developing a new mod, which will go under the name WMobility: Grand Craft Auto!
If you haven't already guessed what this does, this mod willl be aimed at cars, it will add new cars to the game, a new way to craft (made for the cars)
These cars will be as smooth and fun to ride as I can make them (I've been spending a lot of time on bugs that I found other car mods did have)
Also an important feature of this mod is that it will allow Plug-ins, thus other people of the community creating their own cars to add to the mod!
Last but not least, this mod will be expanded to allow for helicopters, hot air balloons, boats and planes to be a full vehicle mod.

This information is not really public yet, you're one of the first to know if you read this.
I'm not that far from releasing this though, as I've already got a big part of this working, the only things that still need to be done are some bits of polishing here and there.

That's good to hear! Considering that your mod is one of the decent road mod in Minecraft...
We'll be watching for things to come.

I suggest also that you put road signs if you have time.

I've once had a roadsigns mod, that could be realised even better nowadays.

What do you mean? Anyway, visit the the new topic I've created in your roadworks forum page.
It's about ideas.

Hey, I'm wondering, when will you release the 1.7.10 version of your mod?

Please don't double post, bumping is not necessary since your post is still on top.

I'm working on the sounds for the railroad crossings now.

Good! At least I know this mod's not forgotten.

I have a great idea though...

"Diagonal Stripes Painter....:
When painted to a block, it will display diagonally instead of horizontal or vertical.
My suggestion is still "minecrafty" because the diagonal paint will act like a normal block.
Just like stripes paint, only with the word diagonal attached to it. :)"

Still wondering when would you release 1.7.10 of your roadworks mod. Honestly, I've been waiting for years, hehe.

I am not adding Diagonal stripes, because I do not see the need for those.
And just a sidenote, but the 1.7.2 version works just fine on 1.7.10. (This goes for both LATL and RW)

Ok, but it is still a great suggestion though, especially if someone is building a diagonal road.
Based on what you said, are you implying that you may not release a 1.7.10 version at all? Just to remind you, your 1.7.2 versions of RW and LATL mod have some issues, though.
